Heath: a brand new production for 2025

Bringing a fresh take to a timeless theme, the play explores how hope and redemption can still be found in the darkest moments. Following its premiere in Bournemouth and a sold-out show at Lighthouse Poole, join us for the final show at Bridport Arts Centre.
“Heath offers a fiercely topical and tender re-reading of Shakespeare’s King Lear, bitterly funny and painfully gripping. This Lear for our times is one of the most artistically ambitious and artistically successful shows I have ever seen staged by what is at heart a drama-therapy troupe. Polished but equally raw, it does as much healing work for its audiences as it does for the remarkably talented group of recovering addicts who are its cast…” Professor Michael Dobson, Director of the Shakespeare Institute.

We play an active role in the local arts scene…

The cornerstone of our offer is theatre which informs our work in education, but also music, crafts, creative writing, and the visual arts. We play an active role in the local arts scene, partnering with individuals, local organisations, and festivals to platform our work and the creative community in Boscombe and the wider area.

Located on Roumelia Lane in the centre of Boscombe, we have a black box theatre space (which is available for hires), a Creative Hub that hosts our workshops and office space where our small but perfectly formed team coordinate our service.
