Come and join the team – we’re recruiting!

06 March, 2024

We’re on the look out for a new Community Arts Administrator/Education Coordinator: this is a vital role in our small but perfectly formed team, assisting the Board of Trustees, our Artistic Director and Creative Producer to advance our mission to support those in recovery. We’re also supported by a Marketing officer, a team of facilitators and an amazing group of volunteers and service users (or as we like to call them, members).

We have a fairly flexible approach to work but most of your working hours will be spent in our office in Boscombe: each day varies and the environment can be a really busy one with workshops going on, new registrations to attend to and a lot of talking and activity, so you’ll need to be an expert planner, be happy to muck in and be a confident communicator (be that with our members, our funders, Trustees or anyone else that comes our way!)

You’ll lead on making sure our School Outreach offer is expertly coordinated – that means reaching out to schools across BCP and wider Dorset, checking every detail for the planned visit and ensuring our crew and cast know what they’re doing from week to week. Managing finances (record keeping, processing invoices and reporting to the board on income) is also part of the task list but support is there and the systems are all in place to ensure you’re on track!

We’re also just about to start a period of Research & Development for a brand new production which we will debut in November – we’ll be working with another creative team to bring dance and movement to this new original commission and offering our cast the opportunity to perform in professional theatres across the conurbation and Dorset.

To find out more about what we do you can contact us at 01202 309999 and ask for Sharon or Michael who’ll both be happy to have an informal chat about our work and the role. You’ll need to submit a CV (no longer than 2 pages) and a supporting statement (again, no longer than 2 pages) telling us why you’re suitable for the role a what you believe you can bring to Vita Nova.

Send your information to reception@vitanova.co.uk
